- towards a healthy and sustainable food system, to ensure better food for more people and to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030

We need to re-think the food system. We need all parts of the society involved. We need partnerships and collaborations and a platform where we can meet, exchange experiences and create new ideas.

Worldwide more than 800 million people live in hunger, more than 2.000 million people are overweight or obese and almost one third of the food made for human consumption is lost or wasted. These are just some of the devastating facts we all have to realize and relate to.

Carolyn Steel, architect and author, tells her unique story of how food became her way of seeing the world. Seeing the world through food is not only about food and where it comes from, the taste, the ingredients, the cooking, the joy etc., but also a mindblowing understanding of how we make our lives happen with food all around.

Carolyn Steel was a keynote speaker at World Food Summit 2018.
